Team Selection and Training

Daniel 1:4 – Skillful in all wisdom, endowed with knowledge, understanding learning, and competent to stand in the king's palace, and to teach them the literature and language of the Chaldeans.

Daniel Team members will be selected by near neighbor cultures. This should allow them to more quickly understand, fit in, and relate to the culture they are trying to reach.

Applicants who have basic theological and ministry training will receive additional training for evangelism and church planting cross culturally among the peoples of this region.

Sending Organizations / Churches

Prayer
Organizations/churches are expected to actively pray for Daniel Team Members and the unreached peoples.

Daniel 6:10 – When Daniel knew that the document had been signed, he went to his house where he had windows in his upper chamber open toward Jerusalem. He got down on his knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as he had done previously.

Selection
Sending organizations will be responsible for making sure that candidates for Daniel Teams are carefully screened and trained. This will often include ongoing support and mentoring.

Finances
Daniel Project Supporting Churches will initially provide 80% of the support for Team members and the remaining 20% of the funds will be provided by their home sending churches/organizations. In order to increase financial stability for Daniel Team Church Planters, we request that supporting churches each make a three year commitment to providing funds for the Daniel Project. In subsequent terms, sending churches will provide a higher percentage of support

Reporting
Monthly updates of progress, setbacks, and prayer requests will be provided.

Supporting Churches

Mentoring Opportunities
Each church in the partnership will have opportuntity to meet and develop relationships with Daniel Team Members and participate in their encourgment, training, and support.

Annual Celebration
Churches will be invited to our annual meeting in March for first hand reports of what God is doing among the lost in these regions.
